Product packaging is the art and science of creating boxes, covers, tubes, bags and other containers that are sturdy enough to protect the product inside, and that are effective promotional pieces in themselves. To a very large degree, the quality of design work on the package affects how well your products sell. When shopping, you reach for products whose packaging is attractive and looks professional, and you instinctively shy away from unattractively packaged products. The design of the container along with the images, logos, marketing text, ingredients and fine print, all go into creating something people will feel confident to buy. Therefore it is essential that packaging be of the highest quality so that it acts as your in-store salesperson.

What types of packaging services do you offer?
The range is enormous: Software boxes, DVD/CD/VHS covers, toy packaging, food products, book jacket covers, consumer goods, product manuals, cosmetics, tubes, bottles and bags—and tons of stuff our clients have yet to propose to us. We pride ourselves in being very flexible and able to come up with just the right packaging image that is right for what you need. See samples.

Why is packaging so important?
You can probably remember being attracted to some package or product because the packaging it was in made it look very appealing. This is natural as we're all attracted by aesthetic things. On the other hand, when was the last time in a store that you were drawn to a product that looked plain, boring or offensively garish? It doesn't happen—so you can directly affect your product sales with effective and attractive packaging.

How do you come up with packaging designs?
We do something very unusual in the design field: We do our homework. We research similar products to see what their manufacturers are doing and learn from their successes and failures. We also interview our clients to see exactly what has been successful regarding their products and what people like and dislike about the products. Invoice surveys reveal where our clients' sales are coming from, and lead us toward the type of packaging appropriate for the clients' needs. We also test our designs to see what reaction they get, and fine tune until it gets the response we want.

Does it cost a lot of money to get professionally designed packaging created?
You'll find our rates very competitive and often a lot lower than high-profile packaging design firms. However, the question you should be asking is "Can I afford to have my products look unprofessional?." Good design reaps the rewards of increased sales and public awareness. A great example of this is the Starbucks Coffee company. They came out of nowhere a few years ago and offered coffee packaged in an entire store filled with great design. The ambiance of the stores created a whole new resurgence in the coffee shop business and launched a worldwide phenomenon. Great packaging works.

Can I easily work long distance on packaging design?
Sure! Our design team works with you personally every step of the way with phone calls, emails, faxes and whatever is necessary to create the look you need. This ain't no faceless corporation—we care about every one of our clients and don't rest until we've pleased you. It's just good business (and fun too).
